Coaches Clinic Preview: “Craig Curley: The Pride of the Navajo Nation”

2013 Coaches Clinic Presenter & professional runner (Mizuno), Craig Curley

2013 Coaches Clinic Presenter & professional runner (Mizuno), Craig Curley

Wings has been busier than ever in the final planning stages for our 15th annual Indian Running Coaches’ Clinic and Leadership Training June 6th-11th in Albuquerque/Santa Fe. But now that all our presenters are confirmed, we’d like to use the next few days to give our constituents a bit more information about what to expect come June 6th.

Craig Curley is a former Wings National team member (2006, NYC) and a native of Kinlichee, AZ. (A little piece of trivia: Wings Program Director, Dustin Martin, was also on that team) For the past few years, Craig has been trying his luck in the professional running game. His performances have earned him a contract with Mizuno and top ten finishes in a number of elite road races across the country (not to mention a chance to compete in the 2012 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials). Craig will present at the Wings Coaches’ Clinic on Saturday, June 8th from 12:15-1:00. His talk is entitled “From Wings Recruit to Professional Athlete”.

Just this week there was an article published on him in the online running magazine “Competitor”

Check out the article HERE.
