CONGRATULATIONS to the 2013 Wings National Team for a job well-done during this weekend’s USATF Cross Country Championships in St. Louis Missouri. The all-Native men and women’s Junior teams stepped to the starting line in Forest Park on Saturday morning unfazed by the cool winds and wet turf and ran with determination. Whether the race required entrants to run two laps or six, the 2-kilometer course proved challenging for runners of all levels. Great job WINGS runners!!! Thanks for representing Indian country at the nationals. May your future races be on the collegiate level when you graduate from high school. As Native runners, we are the most under populated ethnic group represented in collegiate athletics. May you be the generation that helps to change this.
