Dustin Martin, Chief Visionary Officer
A member of the Navajo (Diné) Nation and a proud Wings alumnus, Dustin Martin joined the organization in October of 2011. After completing an NCAA Division-I running career and graduating summa cum laude from Columbia University, he was eager to return to the Southwest to begin giving back to the organization that opened so many doors for him. Serving nearly six years as Program Director before being promoted to Executive Director, Dustin has worn many hats to make sure the Wings family continues to grow. As he embraces his new “Chief Visionary” role, he looks forward to continuing to serve as a resource to the programs team, building the Wings alumni network and creating a variety of content/platforms to amplify the success stories of current and former participants. He is the father of two boys, Quivo & Rocco, and continues to enjoy running on a daily basis.

Mariah Gachupin, Program Coordinator (Student-Athlete Empowerment pillar)
“Hello my name is Mariah Bulaywaghee Gachupin and I am from the Pueblo of Jemez in New Mexico. I earned my BA in Gender Studies with a minor in Native American & Indigenous Studies at Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. I am a mother of two children and continue a legacy of running tradition by choosing to raise them in my home community, which has running heavily embedded into ceremonial practices year round. Working with Wings of America has brought so much joy to my heart by allowing me to support other Native communities who have similar roots; it helps me feel more connected to my fellow Native people in ways I did not know could exist. Running is a beautiful part of my identity and existence. I look forward to being able to continue our shared experiences through such a wonderful type of movement and prayer.”
As the Program Coordinator for Wings’ Student-Athlete Empowerment pillar, Mariah leads efforts to recruit the Wings National Team and Boston Pursuit Program student-athletes, while assisting the Wings Team with various other projects.
