Join the REZILIENCE Indigenous Arts Experience and Wings of America for a community fun run/walk beside the scenic Rio Grande. As part of a “living, creative environment that bridges cultural knowledge with modern art-making processes”, the Rio Rez Run will represent the “Movement” section of REZILIENCE’s mission.

Registration will open the morning of April 30th at 7:00am with the race (5K & 10K) beginning at 8:30am. Due to the fragile nature of the ground we’ll be treading on, registration is limited to 250 participants. $5 (CASH ONLY) registration fees and forms will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. So get there early…

The Rio Rez Run course is an all-dirt trail over relatively flat terrain. We will utilize levee and bosque trails to keep participants off the busy Rio Grande bike path. Unlike many competitive run/walks, participants may choose half way through their run/walk whether or not they wish to complete a 5K or 10K. The Rio Rez Run is all about helping you get the best out of you! Sorry, NO STROLLERS.

Refreshments will be provided for registered participants at the end of the run/walk. As an added bonus, your $5 registration fee will also earn you general admission on to the National Hispanic Cultural Center campus to enjoy other REZILIENCE sections throughout the day.
