THE AMERICAN INDIAN RUNNING COACHES CLINIC

At the beginning of each summer, Wings hosts the American Indian Running Coaches Clinic for student-athletes, coaches and community members working throughout Native America. Cultural stewards, historians, elite athletes, health professionals and training experts are invited from around the country to speak at this conference-style forum. Through their personal stories, research, coaching insights and demonstrations, clinic attendees gain new perspective on the history of Native running and learn innovative ways to take their passion to the next level. As part of the orientation process for our summer Running & Fitness Camp facilitators, this program underscores mentoring and the importance of sharing knowledge at a professional level.

The 2019 clinic will be held May 30th and June 1st  in Santa Fe, New Mexico at The Institute of American Indian Arts’ Center for Lifelong Education. Registration is $75.00 and includes a Wings t-shirt and meals (Friday & Saturday- Breakfast & Lunch) along with access to all clinic presentations and materials. Please reach out to alicia@wingsofamerica.org to reserve your seat and learn more about payment options.

Dorm-style lodging is available to Clinic Participants for an additional fee.
